Synthetic rubber development could yield improved truck tires

POTSDAM, Germany — Researchers from the Fraunhofer Institutes for Applied Polymer Research in Germany have developed a polyisoprene synthetic rubber they claim can exceed the treadwear performance of natural rubber in truck tires. Continental’s 2018 Earnings Dip Slightly on Higher Sales

Continental AG posted net income of 2.9 billion euros on net sales of 44.4 billion euros for its fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2018. Yokohama to unveil two commercial tires at TMC Show

SANTA ANA, Calif. — Yokohama Tire Corp. plans to unveil a deep-tread drive-axle tire and a regional haul trailer tire during the American Trucking Associations' Transportation Maintenance Council (TMC) Show, to be held March 18-21 in Atlanta. Toyo to raise U.S. truck tire prices 5% on May 1
